Mariafrancesca La Greca
Hallo, I’m Mariafrancesca and I come from Italy. I performed my bachelor in Naples where I studied molecular medicine and Biotechnology. Then I did my master in Rome in Genomic Biotechnology and my experimental thesis was focused on the epigenetic in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. In particular I studied the correlation between acetylation and ubiquitilation of yeast proteins with human cancer. Since I have a great passion for science in general, I decided to move to Berlin to perform a PhD on a different subject in order to extend my knowledge and horizons. My project will focus on the protonation dynamics in light activated sensory/channel-rhodopsin.
