Currently working on my PhD, researching protonation dynamics during water oxidation in the protein complex Photsystem II. Using time resolved infrared spectroscopy I hope to gather new insights on the reaction dynamics not only by studying native systems but also by examining the effects of point mutations near the reaction center.
