Hello, I am Manal and from Berlin. During my studies, I was most interested in the courses on structural biology, not only because the facts and methods themselves interested me, but also because the relationships between certain structure motifs and their functions draw my attention. Therefore, I decided to extend my knowledge during my master's thesis and joined Patrick Scheerer's Lab for my master's thesis in June 2019. I liked it so much there, that I continued with my Ph.D. and now I am looking forward to learning about phytochromes by using X-ray crystallography and single particle cryo-EM.
